Job summary

Ascension Sacred Heart Bay in Panama City, FL, seeks a qualified Occupational Therapist (OTR) to join Rehabilitation Services. Under supervision, you will assess patients, design and implement plans of care, educate families, and oversee therapy staff to ensure quality care.

Requirements include Bachelor’s degree, Florida OTR licensure, BLS within 1 month, and a preferred Master’s or Doctorate in OT. Full-time day shift with comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy required.
• OTR licensure in Florida required or obtained prior to hire.
• BLS certification within 1 month of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient’s ability to safely and effectively perform independent living skills and designs plan of care.
• Implements the treatment plan using appropriate modalities and documents patient progress.
• Oversees care provided by certified occupational therapy assistants and therapy technicians.
• Plans and/or assists with patient discharge and advises on adaptive equipment and support programs.
