FlexStaff is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat patients with disabilities and injuries in accordance with physician prescriptions in New York State. The role focuses on improving motor coordination, movement and upper‑extremity function to help patients regain independence.

You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, implement treatment plans, and train patients and caregivers in daily living activities.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Must be licensed as an Occupational Therapist in New York State.
• Minimum one year of experience required.

Aufgaben

• Evaluates and treats patients with disabilities, injuries and/or disease as prescribed by a state licensed physician.
• Administers direct patient care per prescription and documents per policies.
• Develops and implements treatment plans to improve motor coordination and upper-extremity function.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to maximize recovery and independence.
• Instructs patients and caregivers in daily living activities to promote independence.
• Participates in quality improvement chart reviews and related activities.
• Reviews and arranges Durable Medical Equipment (DME) and provides follow‑up care guidance.
