Job summary

Mariner Healthcare seeks a qualified Occupational Therapist to evaluate residents, develop care plans, and educate families and caregivers on adaptive tools and treatments. The role emphasizes accurate record-keeping and compliant documentation.

You will provide adaptive equipment guidance and ensure treatment plans meet state and federal regulations while maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master/Doctor of Occupational Therapy degree.
• Current license in Occupational Therapy (if required by state law).
• One year of clinical experience preferred.
• State approved certification to provide advanced level treatments where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Screens, evaluates resident/patient and develops appropriate plan of care.
• Instructs residents, families and caregivers in the use of adaptive equipment such as wheelchairs, splints, and aids for eating and dressing.
• Maintains patient records in an accurate and timely manner.
• Provides adaptive tools and treatments for the specific needs of patients.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.
