Job summary

Pate Rehabilitation is seeking a motivated Occupational Therapist to join our team in Fort Worth, TX. The OT will develop and implement goal-directed treatment plans, work with patients to restore daily living skills, and coordinate with the care team to support discharge planning and home modifications.

Qualified candidates hold a Texas OT license, maintain CPR certification, and pass pre-employment verifications.

Qualifications

• Current CPR certification.
• B.S./M.S. in Occupational Therapy or related field with OT certification.
• Must pass pre-employment verifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement goal-directed treatment plans for assigned patients.
• Establish realistic functional goals based on patient/caregiver goals and discharge plan.
• Supervise OT Assistants, Rehab Technicians, OT students and OTA students.
• Educate patients/caregivers on OT services, procedures, and goals.
• Prepare for client discharge, including education, home visits, and equipment needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement goal-directed treatment plans for assigned patients utilizing in-depth evaluation and physician orders
• Establish realistic, objective functional goals based on patient/caregiver goals and overall discharge plan
• Supervise Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants, Rehabilitation Technicians, OT students, and OTA students on a routine basis
• Educate patients/caregivers on occupational therapy services, treatment procedures, and treatment goals
• Prepare for client discharge in a timely, thorough manner, including patient/caregiver education, home visit, recommendations for home modifications and equipment needs, and procurement of recommended equipment
• Maintain a working knowledge of and adherence to Occupational Therapy Practice Act and Code of Ethics
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution or B.S./M.S. degree in related field with an Occupational Therapy certification from an accredited institution
• Current license to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of Texas required
• Current CPR certification required
• Must pass all pre-employment and employment verifications
