Job summary

HCA Florida Westside Hospital in Florida is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a PRN role. You will evaluate patients, develop individualized care plans, and provide hands-on therapy to restore function and independence.

Work closely with physicians and an interdisciplinary team to support recovery and excellent patient experiences. Responsibilities include delivering evidence-based interventions, monitoring progress, educating patients and families, and ensuring thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• OT licensure required
• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of start

Responsibilities

• Evaluating each patient’s functional abilities and needs, then developing individualized therapy plans in coordination with physicians and the care team.
• Delivering skilled, evidence-based interventions that promote healing, independence, and quality of life.
• Monitoring patient progress and updating plans with thorough documentation.
• Educating patients and families to support recovery.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary partners for seamless transitions of care.
• Leading by example and guiding therapy assistants or students.
