Job summary

HCA Florida Healthcare at Home is seeking an Occupational Therapist for Home Health on a PRN basis. You will assess patients, develop personalized therapy plans, and work with physicians and a care team to promote recovery and independence.

You will deliver hands-on, evidence-based therapy, monitor progress, educate families, and participate in interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure safe, high-quality care across the home setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Successful completion of the NBCOT exam for Registered Occupational Therapists.
• State license in practicing state.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating each patient’s functional abilities and needs, then developing individualized therapy plans with physicians and the care team.
• Delivering skilled, evidence-based interventions that promote healing, independence, and quality of life.
• Monitoring patient progress, adjusting plans as needed, and ensuring thorough, timely documentation.
• Educating patients and families to build understanding and engagement during recovery.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary partners to ensure safe transitions of care and excellent patient experiences.
• Leading by example—guiding therapy assistants or students and upholding mission and values.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy

NBCOT certification (National Certification Examination for Registered Occupational Therapist)

State licensure in practicing state
