Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of age-specific factors and works with patients from infant to geriatric age groups according to department guidelines.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment programs for patients needing OT services.
• Evaluates patients using data from records, interviews, observations and team input.
• Provides direct therapy services in various settings to meet treatment goals.
• Plans therapy aligned with patient’s physical, emotional and cognitive abilities and care plans.
• Prepares documentation such as evaluation results, treatment plans and progress notes.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, physicians and the rehabilitation team.
• Establishes rapport and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members throughout treatment.
• Supports professional growth through education, literature, and seminars.
