Job summary

German Centre in Boston, MA is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) for a PRN role. The candidate will evaluate residents, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide skilled OT interventions to improve independence and safety.

Requirements include an accredited OT program, MA OT license, and at least 1 year of experience, preferably in long-term care, plus fluency in English. Competitive hourly rate and comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program.
• Current, active MA Occupational Therapist license.
• Minimum 1 year experience, preferably in a long-term care setting.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English – both verbally and written.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents and develop individualized treatment plans to improve independence, functional abilities, and quality of life.
• Provide skilled occupational therapy interventions to enhance activities of daily living (ADLs), upper extremity function, mobility, balance, and safety.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, rehabilitation team members, and families to establish goals and deliver coordinated, resident-centered care.
• Recommend and train residents and caregivers in the use of adaptive equipment, environmental modifications, and fall prevention strategies to promote safe, independent living.
• Complete timely, accurate documentation, monitor resident progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and maintain compliance with regulatory and facility standards.
