Job summary

Almaden Health and Rehabilitation Center is hiring an Occupational Therapist (OT) to evaluate, plan and administer therapy for residents with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues, perform tests and measurements, provide direct clinical treatment, and contribute to discharge planning with an interdisciplinary team.

Requires a BS/MS/OTD in Occupational Therapy and California licensure; one year of clinical experience preferred, new graduates welcome.

Qualifications

• OT degree (BS/MS/OTD) in Occupational Therapy.
• One year of clinical experience preferred; new graduates welcomed.
• Current license to practice Occupational Therapy issued by California.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and plans therapy for neuromuscular and musculoskeletal conditions.
• Administers tests and measurements for strength, ROM, and coordination.
• Provides direct clinical treatment per plan of care.

• ccupational Therapist (OT) Duties and Responsibilities Performed within scope of practice and federal guidelines:
• Evaluates, plans and administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers and interprets tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Provides adaptive tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts simulated and/or actual home assessments, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment.

• ccupational Therapist (OT) Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed.
• Current license to practice Therapy Occupational Therapy Issued by California.
