Almaden Health and Rehabilitation Center in San Jose, CA is hiring an Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA). Join a team dedicated to compassionate care and support for residents; the OTA will administer treatments under a plan of care and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.

Salary range is $85,280–$104,000 annually with a sign-on bonus available, PTO, and referral bonuses. New graduates welcome; CA OTA license required to practice.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• New graduates welcomed; 1 year of clinical experience preferred.
• Current license to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in California.

Responsibilities

• Administers treatment to patients with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Assists the patient with tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts home assessments, with OT/PT as needed, to ensure safe discharge.

• ccupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) Duties and Responsibilities Performed within scope of practice and federal guidelines:
• Administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Assists the patient with tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts simulated and/or actual home assessments, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment, along with the OT/PT as needed.

• ccupational Therapist (OT) Qualifications and Skills:

• Associate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed.
• Current license to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant issued by the state of California.
