Job summary

Franciscan Health Munster Campus is seeking an Occupational Therapist I to evaluate and treat patients within hospital guidelines. The role includes directing OT Assistants, implementing plans of care to improve daily living activities and mobility, and ensuring proper documentation and quality improvement.

This PRN position offers weekend shift differentials and opportunities to work at multiple Franciscan Health therapy locations in Indiana.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited program.
• Must have a valid license or temporary permit for the applicable state.
• Experienced or new graduate Occupational Therapist eligible.
• Adapt and respond quickly to changing priorities.
• Ability and willingness to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Provides evaluation and treatment within hospital policies and procedures.
• Instructs and directs Occupational Therapist Assistants and aides as assigned.
• Evaluates and implements the plan of care to improve ADLs and functional mobility.
• Performs documentation and quality improvement as outlined in policies.

The Occupational Therapist I provides evaluation and treatment of the patient within the parameters of legal and professional guidelines and hospital and departmental policies and procedures. The position instructs and directs Occupational Therapist Assistant and aides as assigned. The Occupational Therapist evaluates and implements the plan of care to improve, restore, and enhance performance in activities of daily living and functional mobility. This position performs documentation and quality improvement as outlined in departmental policies and procedures.
