Job summary

WeCare at Sugar Creek in Franklin, PA, is seeking an Occupational Therapist to help residents develop, recover, or maintain daily living and work skills amid physical, mental, or developmental conditions. The role emphasizes compassionate care and evidence-based practice within a supportive team.

The therapist will plan and administer individualized treatments, monitor progress, and educate residents, families, and caregivers while adhering to the established plan of care.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid license to practice occupational therapy.
• BS degree or higher in occupational therapy.
• Up-to-date knowledge of occupational therapy principles and practices.
• Ability to continually learn and grow in the profession.
• Familiarity with ADL evaluation tools.
• Proven clinical experience as an occupational therapist.

Responsibilities

• Plan and administer treatment to residents to relieve pain and improve function.
• Deliver therapy according to an established plan of care.
• Provide clinical support and educate patients, families, and caregivers.
• Monitor patient responses to treatment interventions.
• Complete required forms and documentation per policy and regulations.

Skills

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and administer treatment to residents and patients with temporary or long-term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing
• Assure all therapy is delivered in accordance with an established plan of care
• Provide clinical support and instruct patients, families, and caregivers
• Monitor patient response to treatment intervention
• Complete required forms and documentation in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Valid license to practice occupational therapy
• BS degree or greater in occupational therapy
• Current knowledge of treatment principles and practices of occupational therapy
• Ability to continually learn and grow in the profession
• Familiarity with ADL evaluation tools
• Proven working experience as an occupational therapist
