Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program required.
• Current Occupational Therapist license in the State of Pennsylvania in good standing.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Previous experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or post-acute settings preferred.
• Strong clinical, communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy interventions to improve residents' independence.
• Document evaluations, treatments, and progress notes in a timely manner.

Join Our Growing Rehabilitation Team

Saunders Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a compassionate and motivated PRN Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our dynamic rehabilitation team. This position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with therapists, nursing staff, physicians, residents, and families to deliver high-quality rehabilitative care that promotes independence, functional improvement, safety, and enhanced quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans based on clinical findings, functional abilities, and resident goals.

• Provide skilled occupational therapy interventions focused on improving independence with activities of daily living, mobility, coordination, strength, and overall functional performance.

• Implement evidence-based treatment strategies to support residents in achieving their highest level of independence.

• Monitor resident progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to support positive outcomes.

• Accurately document evaluations, treatments, progress notes, and other required clinical information in a timely manner.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support resident care goals and discharge planning.

• Educate residents, families, and caregivers regarding treatment plans, safety techniques, adaptive strategies, and functional improvement goals.

• Maintain compliance with facility policies, professional standards, state regulations, and federal guidelines.

• Participate in care conferences and team meetings as appropriate.

• Ensure a safe and therapeutic treatment environment for all residents.
