Job summary

Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau, MO, is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a part-time, per diem role within our Rehabilitation/Therapy Services team. The ideal candidate will have graduated from an accredited OT program and hold a current license or be eligible to practice in Missouri, with the possibility of a 90-day temporary license.

This PRN position requires flexibility with rotating shifts and emphasizes emergency responsiveness.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current OT license or eligibility within the hiring state; temporary license up to 90 days.
• Current BLS through the American Heart Association.
• National Board Certification in Occupational Therapy preferred.
• Must be able to respond to emergency situations.

Overview

Provides patient care by organizing and conducting medically prescribed programs in order to achieve maximum potential. Displays treatment skills practicing within the scope of State Practice Act and in compliance with all rules and regulations with National Board and governing bodies in the state of practice. Promotes growth and development of department by assisting in special projects and/or coordinating activities in patient care programs.
