Job summary

Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau, MO, is seeking an Occupational Therapist for PRN, rotating shifts. Responsibilities include providing patient care within state practice guidelines and contributing to program development.

The role requires a graduate OT program, state license or eligibility, and BLS certification. Preferred is National Board Certification in Occupational Therapy, plus the ability to respond to emergencies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current OT license or eligibility in the hiring state; temporary license up to 90 days allowed.
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• National Board Certification in Occupational Therapy preferred.
• Must be able to respond to emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care by organizing and conducting prescribed OT programs.
• Contribute to department growth by assisting in special projects and coordinating activities.
• Promote compliance with state practice acts and governing bodies.

Displays treatment skills practicing within the scope of State Practice Act and in compliance with all rules and regulations with National Board and governing bodies in the state of practice. Promotes growth and development of department by assisting in special projects and/or coordinating activities in patient care programs.
