Job summary

La Crescenta Healthcare Center in California is hiring an Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our clinical team. We value our employees and provide a supportive work environment with a family-like culture.

The OT will evaluate, plan and administer treatments for neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues, participate in an interdisciplinary team, and ensure safe discharge planning. A California license is required; new grads welcome and a sign-on bonus is available.

Qualifications

• Degree required in Occupational Therapy (BS/MS/PhD)
• 1 year clinical experience preferred; new grads welcome

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, plans and administers OT treatment per care plan.
• Administers and interprets tests for muscle strength, ROM, coordination.
• Provides direct clinical treatment and participates in interdisciplinary team.
• Provides adaptive tools and treatments for patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Performs home assessments to ensure safe discharge environments.

• ccupational Therapist (OT) Duties and Responsibilities Performed within scope of practice and federal guidelines:
• Evaluates, plans and administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers and interprets tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Provides adaptive tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts simulated and/or actual home assessments, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment.

• ccupational Therapist (OT) Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed.
• Current license to practice Therapy Occupational Therapy Issued by California.
