Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Orlando Central is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a per diem role in Orlando. You will assess patients, design and adjust treatment plans, and lead therapy services to foster independence in daily activities.

You'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, participate in orientation, and have opportunities for advancement while earning a $5,000 sign-on bonus. This is a per diem position with direct patient care and education responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state licensure as Occupational Therapist.
• Certified BLS or completion within first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify therapy plans as directed by physicians.
• Coordinate and delegate discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients.
• Educate patients, families, and staff; support program delivery and rehabilitation goals.
• Contribute to treatment program design to promote return to community activities.

Select Specialty Hospital - Orlando Central is a 31-bed free-standing critical illness recovery hospital. We specialize in helping critically ill patients breathe, speak, eat, walk and think as independently as possible.
Our hospital also offers medical rehabilitation through Select Medical Rehabilitation, a 32-bed acute rehabilitation unit. The unit is designed to meet an individual’s rehabilitation needs and goals through a range of programs and services. The unit is located within Select Specialty Hospital - Orlando Central.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current and valid state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as an Occupational Therapist required.
• Certified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment is required.
