Job summary

HCA Healthcare's Methodist Hospital Metropolitan in San Antonio, TX seeks an Occupational Therapist for a part-time role within our inpatient rehab environment. You will evaluate patients, develop individualized therapy plans, and deliver hands-on interventions to promote independence and recovery.

You'll work closely with physicians and a multidisciplinary team, documenting progress and educating families while upholding our mission to provide compassionate, evidence-based care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy required.
• TX OT license must be active.
• 1+ year experience in acute or inpatient OT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' functional abilities and create individualized plans.
• Deliver skilled, evidence-based interventions to promote healing and independence.
• Monitor progress, adjust plans, and document outcomes thoroughly.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Occupational Therapists play a vital role in helping patients regain independence, confidence, and quality of life after illness or injury. Working closely with physicians and an interdisciplinary care team, you will evaluate needs, develop individualized care plans, and provide hands‑on treatment that supports recovery through every stage of healing. Your role will include:

• Evaluating each patient’s functional abilities and needs, then developing individualized therapy plans in coordination with physicians and the care team.

What qualifications you will need:

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy
• Occupational Therapy License issued by the Texas State Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners
• Prefer one or more years of experience in an Acute or Inpatient Occupational Therapy Setting
• BLS Certification
