Job summary

Autumn Hills Healthcare Center is hiring an Occupational Therapist (OT) to evaluate, plan, and administer treatments for residents within a supportive team environment. The role emphasizes patient-centered care and collaboration with clinicians to achieve discharge goals.

The OT will perform assessments, provide therapeutic interventions, and support residents in mobility and functional improvement, while maintaining records and adhering to licensed practice standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master/Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• 1 year of clinical experience preferred; new grads welcomed.
• Current license to practice Occupational Therapy issued by California.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, plans and administers treatment to patients with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues.
• Administers and interprets tests for muscle strength, range of motion, and respiratory/circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment per established plan of care and participates in an interdisciplinary team.
• Provides adaptive tools and treatments for patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records and conducts home assessments as appropriate.

• ccupational Therapist (OT) Duties and Responsibilities Performed within scope of practice and federal guidelines:
• Evaluates, plans and administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers and interprets tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Provides adaptive tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts simulated and/or actual home assessments, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment.

• ccupational Therapist (OT) Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed!
• Current license to practice Therapy Occupational Therapy Issued by California.
