Job summary

Highland Health & Rehabilitation of Cascadia in Bellingham, WA is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our rehabilitation team. You will assess residents, design personalized treatment plans, and supervise COTAs while collaborating with families and the care team to restore independence.

Requirements include a degree from an accredited OT program, current state OT license, CPR certification, and LTC experience is preferred. Competitive hourly pay: $53.00-$58.00 depending on experience.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assess referred patients' medical condition, functional capabilities, and rehabilitation potential.
• Design and administer individualized treatment programs with clear, achievable goals under physician direction.
• Document patient progress and communicate status/needs to patients, families, and the care team.
• Delegate appropriate treatment to COTAs and provide clinical supervision.
• Direct COTAs and Rehab Aides in skilled tasks, ensuring compliance with State Practice Acts and OBRA.
• Build strong, trust-based relationships with residents, families, and interdisciplinary staff.
• Participate in care planning, utilization review, case management, and family conferences.
• Educate patients and families on occupational therapy techniques and home strategies.

What You'll Do
