Job summary

Mercy Hospital St. Louis Critical Care Medicine Fellowship is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide patient care within our acute care team.

The role involves organizing and conducting medically prescribed programs to maximize patient potential, while adhering to state practice acts and governing body standards. The position requires graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program, state licensure or eligibility, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current Occupational Therapy license or eligibility within the hiring state; may work under a temporary license up to 90 days.
• Current BLS through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care by organizing and conducting medically prescribed programs in order to achieve maximum potential.
• Promotes growth and development of department by assisting in special projects and coordinating activities in patient care programs.
• Responds to emergency situations when needed.

Shift: Full-time position, daytime hours with after-school availability required, 5-day a week schedule. M-Th 8-5 or 9-6 F 8-3 *Flexibility in shift

Education: Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program

Licensure: Current Occupational Therapy license or eligibility within the hiring state; may work under a temporary license up to 90 days.

Certifications: Current BLS through the American Heart Association

Other: Must be able to respond to emergency situations.

Preferred Certifications: National Board Certification in Occupational Therapy
