Job summary

Mercy Hospital in Saint Peters, MO seeks an Occupational Therapist to join a daytime, full-time team. You will provide patient care within our OT programs, following state practice act and departmental protocols.

The role requires graduation from an accredited OT program, current license or eligibility, and BLS certification; NBOT preferred. We offer comprehensive benefits and opportunities to contribute to patient care excellence.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current OT license or eligibility in the hiring state; temporary license up to 90 days allowed.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Promote growth and development of the department by supporting projects and activities.
• Respond to emergency situations as needed.

Overview

Provides patient care by organizing and conducting medically prescribed programs in order to achieve maximum potential. Displays treatment skills practicing within the scope of State Practice Act and in compliance with all rules and regulations with National Board and governing bodies in the state of practice. Promotes growth and development of department by assisting in special projects and/or coordinating activities in patient care programs.

Shift: Full-time position, daytime hours with after-school availability required, 5-day a week schedule. M-Th 8-5 or 9-6 F 8-3 *Flexibility in shift

Education: Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program

Licensure: Current Occupational Therapy license or eligibility within the hiring state; may work under a temporary license up to 90 days.

Certifications: Current BLS through the American Heart Association

Other: Must be able to respond to emergency situations.

Preferred Certifications: National Board Certification in Occupational Therapy
