Job summary

Village Place Health and Rehab in Port Charlotte, FL, is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our renovated 104-bed facility's rehab program. You will conduct screenings, evaluate per physician orders, and provide OT treatment as outlined by the plan of care.

You will supervise OTA/COTA, collaborate with the IDT, and contribute to the success of the rehab department and facility. Florida license and a BS in OT, with strong communication and tech skills, are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy required
• Florida Occupational Therapy License required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Must be computer/tech savvy

Responsibilities

• Conducts screenings of residents as scheduled to determine the need for evaluation and/or intervention
• Evaluate residents per physician orders to obtain comprehensive data to be utilized in developing the plan of care
• Provide Occupational Therapy treatment to residents when indicated per the plan of care
• Supervision of OTA/COTA
• Actively engage and contribute to the success of the rehab department, IDT, and facility success

Job description

Village Place Health and Rehab has an exciting opportunity to join our team in our beautifully renovated, 104 bed skilled nursing facility.

Our facility offers a supportive family environment with a compassionate rehab team which is led by an experienced Director of Rehabilitation. Rehabilitation techs are utilized to assist therapists with resident transport and administrative functions. The rehab department utilizes Net Health-Therapy and Point Click Care for billing and documentation to assist therapists with daily efficiency where quality care remains the primary focus of each therapist. The facility offers 6-day a week, in-house comprehensive rehabilitation program where the OT is an integral member of the interdisciplinary team. Our rehab positions are stable and secure at one location. Each rehab department offers a spacious gym.
