Job summary

Pate Rehabilitation, an affiliate of Rehab Without Walls, is seeking a motivated Occupational Therapist to join our care team. The OT will develop goal-directed treatment plans and help restore daily living skills for patients, while supervising OT Assistants and students.

Responsibilities include education for patients and caregivers, discharge planning, and adherence to the OT Practice Act and ethics while contributing to a collaborative multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Must have a B.S. or M.S. degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Current license to practice OT in Texas.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Must pass all pre-employment verifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement goal-directed treatment plans based on evaluations and orders.
• Establish realistic functional goals aligned with discharge planning.
• Supervise OT assistants, rehabilitation techs, and OT/OTA students.
• Educate patients and caregivers on OT services and goals.
• Prepare for client discharge, including home visits and equipment needs.
• Maintain knowledge of OT Practice Act and Code of Ethics.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement goal-directed treatment plans for assigned patients utilizing in-depth evaluation and physician orders


• Establish realistic, objective functional goals based on patient/caregiver goals and overall discharge plan


• Supervise Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants, Rehabilitation Technicians, OT students, and OTA students on a routine basis


• Educate patients/caregivers on occupational therapy services, treatment procedures, and treatment goals


• Prepare for client discharge in a timely, thorough manner, including patient/caregiver education, home visit, recommendations for home modifications and equipment needs, and procurement of recommended equipment


• Maintain a working knowledge of and adherence to Occupational Therapy Practice Act and Code of Ethics


• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution or B.S./M.S. degree in related field with an Occupational Therapy certification from an accredited institution


• Current license to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of Texas required


• Current CPR certification required


• Must pass all pre-employment and employment verifications
