Job summary

Greenway Health and Rehab is seeking a Part-Time or PRN Occupational Therapist (OT) to plan, organize, develop, and direct Occupational Therapy Services in our Alabama facility, ensuring the highest quality resident care in accordance with current standards and regulations.

Responsibilities include screening residents, evaluating and creating treatment plans, communicating findings to families and the interdisciplinary team, coordinating therapy schedules, documenting and billing OT services,

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy required.
• Active Occupational Therapy license in AL required.
• Ongoing continuing education to maintain licensure.

Responsibilities

• Screen residents to determine appropriate intervention or treatment.
• Evaluate residents to inform treatment plans and set goals.
• Communicate findings and plans to residents, families, and the team.
• Schedule therapy in coordination with team members.
• Document and bill OT services per plan of care.
• Perform duties to effectively treat patients and supervise COTA as needed.

Job description

Greenway Health and Rehab is hiring for Part-Time or PRN Occupational Therapist OT to plan, organize, develop, and direct Occupational Therapy Services in facility in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be directed by Administrator, to ensure that highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

Status: Part-time PT Weekends or PRN

Job Functions:

• Conduct regular screening of residents to figure out the best intervention or treatment for each individual patient

• Evaluate residents to inform and develop treatment plans; establish short- and long-term goals and methods to achieve goals

• Interpret and communicate evaluation findings, treatment plans, and recommendations to residents, families/caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members

• Establish individual resident therapy schedules in cooperation with other team members

• Conduct therapy according to established treatment plan and ensure proper documentation and billing of occupational therapy services

• Perform all other duties as assigned and as required to effectively treat patients

• Oversee COTA as needed and ensure all documentation and treatments are carried out with clinical excellence and proper reimbursement practices are being followed

Education & Qualifications:

• Degree in Occupational Therapy

• MUST have an Active Occupational Therapy license in AL

• Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain current licensure and certification
