Job summary

Sigma Health Rehab is seeking a weekend Occupational Therapist (OT) to work in a Skilled Nursing Facility in Glens Falls, NY. This per diem role offers mentorship, flexible scheduling, and weekly pay in a supportive, technology-enabled environment.

The OT will evaluate residents, design rehab plans, and guide therapy services, while supervising assistants and ensuring confidentiality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program.
• Current New York State OT License.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents' conditions and develop appropriate rehabilitation plans.
• Relieve residents' pain using exercises, hands-on therapy and stretching.
• Supervise the activities of physical therapy assistants and coordinate care.
• Maintain resident confidentiality and comply with legal and professional requirements.
• Support the healthcare team and contribute to patient progress.

Duties of an exceptional therapist include:

• Evaluate residents' conditions & develop appropriate physical rehabilitation plans
• Relieve residents' pain using exercises, hands-on therapy & stretching
• Help residents through their tasks and monitor their performance
• Supervise the activities of physical therapy assistants
• Maintain resident confidence & protects facility by keeping information confidential
• Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements
• Maintains a cooperative relationship among healthcare team members & contributes to team effort

OT Requirements Include:

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program
• Current New York State OT License
