Job summary

Sigma Health Rehab is seeking a per diem Occupational Therapist (OT) to work in a Skilled Nursing Facility in New York. The role centers on evaluating residents, creating rehab plans, and supporting the care team with hands-on therapy and progress monitoring.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited OT program and a current New York State OT license; weekend/evening hours may be available with mentorship and competitive compensation to support your growth.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program.
• Current New York State OT License.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents’ conditions & develop appropriate physical rehabilitation plans.
• Relieve resident’s pain using exercises, hands-on therapy & stretching.
• Help residents through their tasks and monitor their performance.
• Supervise the activities of physical therapy assistants.
• Maintain resident confidence & protects facility by keeping information confidential.
• Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
• Maintains a cooperative relationship among healthcare team members & contributes to team effort.

Education

Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program
