Responsibilities

The Occupational Therapist / OT is responsible for the assessment of referred patients that require rehabilitation services, including:

• Providing direct patient care to assess medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations and restrictions, and potential for rehabilitation.
• Establishing and administering a treatment program with specific goals determined according to the patient's capacity and tolerance under the direction of the physician.
• Setting realistic and achievable goals for patients.
• Documenting and recording the patient's condition.
• Educating patients and families in an appropriate occupational therapy method.

Requirements

• Graduated from an accredited school.
• Current state license as an Occupational Therapist / OT or actively in the process of obtaining such licensure.
• Current CPR certification.
• Provide skilled occupational therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders.
• Assess patient needs, plan for, evaluate and modify care to meet goals of occupational therapy interventions.
• Collaborate with all disciplines to plan and evaluate team goals for each patient.
