Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Current OT license in the state of practice.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a collaborative healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' functional abilities and establish individualized OT treatment plans.
• Provide skilled interventions to improve daily living activities, strength, coordination, cognition, mobility, and functional performance.
• Evaluate patient response to treatment and modify interventions as needed.
• Supervise OTAs in accordance with regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing, families, and the care team.
• Contribute to care conferences, care planning, and discharge planning.
• Educate patients and caregivers on strategies to promote safety and independence.
• Identify adaptive equipment and interventions to support outcomes.
• Complete clinical documentation and billing within set timeframes.
• Maintain compliance with licensure requirements and OT practice standards.

What You’ll Do

As an Occupational Therapist, you will use your clinical expertise to develop and deliver individualized rehabilitation services that support each patient's needs and goals. Responsibilities include:

• Assess patients' functional abilities and establish individualized occupational therapy treatment plans.
• Provide skilled interventions to improve activities of daily living, strength, coordination, cognition, mobility, and overall functional performance.
• Evaluate patient response to treatment and modify interventions based on progress and changing needs.
• Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTAs) in accordance with applicable regulations and professional standards.
• Work closely with physicians, nursing personnel, families, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.
• Contribute to patient care conferences, care planning, and discharge recommendations.
• Educate patients, caregivers, and facility staff on strategies that promote safety, independence, and continued progress.
• Identify appropriate adaptive equipment and recommend interventions to support functional outcomes.
• Complete clinical documentation and billing accurately and within established timeframes.
• Maintain compliance with state licensure requirements, applicable regulations, and occupational therapy practice standards.
