Job summary

MedCare Pediatric Group is hiring a Home Health Pediatric Occupational Therapist (OT) to deliver one-on-one therapy in children’s homes, daycares, and schools. The role supports diverse environments within the Greater Houston area with flexible Full-Time, Part-Time, and PRN options.

The position offers a sign-on bonus, competitive hourly pay of $60.00–$70.00, and strong clinical supervision to promote professional growth. New grads are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current Texas OT license by start date.
• New graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Pediatric experience preferred but not required.
• Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
• Previous experience supervising COTAs is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans and measurable goals.
• Provide evidence-based occupational therapy services per physician-approved Plans of Care.
• Address fine motor development, sensory processing, coordination, strength, ROM, self-care, visual-motor integration, and daily living activities.
• Monitor progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
• Educate families and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and home programs.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the care team for coordinated, high-quality care.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.

Occupational Therapist Qualifications and Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

• Address functional skills including fine motor development, sensory processing, coordination, strength, range of motion, self-care, visual-motor integration, behavioral regulation, and activities of daily living
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate
• Educate and train families and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and home programs
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
