Job summary

California Rehabilitation Institute in Century City, Los Angeles, is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist (OT) for inpatient care. The role involves evaluating patients, designing and implementing therapy plans, and contributing to discharge planning within a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements include current state licensure or eligibility, a minimum of 2 years in acute care or inpatient rehabilitation, and BLS certification. A sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as an Occupational Therapist required.
• Minimum 2 years acute care or Inpatient Rehabilitation experience required.
• Certified BLS from the American Heart Association is required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates all assigned patients, develops, and implements treatment plans in accordance with the patient’s need and physician direction.
• Responsible for delegation and direction of all discipline specific therapy services.
• Ensures design of functional treatment programs allowing for effective return to community activities.
• Serves as an educator of patients, families, students, coworkers and self.
• Participates in discharge planning including placement, patient and family education, and adaptive equipment.
• Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient.
