Job summary

DayToDay Health is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat patients of all ages with rehabilitative needs across orthopedic, neurological, developmental and cognitive conditions. The OT will serve as a clinical resource and role model for staff and students, ensuring the delivery of professional services.

The role involves designing care plans, conducting assessments, educating patients and families, monitoring progress, and guiding support staff in delivering therapy services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Licensed OT in the relevant state.
• BLS certification within 30 days.
• Knowledge of body mechanics, patient transfer techniques, and documentation standards.
• Ability to evaluate impairments, develop treatment plans, and perform objective testing.
• Strong educational and communication skills for patient and team education.

Responsibilities

• Presents individualized care plans based on patient goals, clinical findings, and evidence-based practices.
• Performs patient assessments, including examinations, objective testing, and screening procedures.
• Educates patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare team members effectively.
• Monitors and documents treatment progress, adjusting care as needed.
• Oversees support personnel and provides feedback on care delivery.
• Completes specialized treatments such as therapeutic ultrasound and fluidotherapy.
• Communicates regularly with referring providers regarding patient progress.
