Job summary

HSHS St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our outpatient team. The OT focuses on improving pediatric patients’ independence and functional performance through targeted therapy plans within a multidisciplinary setting.

The position offers a full-time schedule (40 hrs/wk, clinic hours 7am-5:30pm; 8 or 10 hour shifts available; no weekends) with a $25,000 sign-on bonus. IL or WI licensure and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited OT program meeting IL licensure requirements.
• IL or WI OT licensure or eligibility and licensure within 6 months.
• Certified Basic Life Support (BLS) or completion within first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient pediatric OT services as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Develop individualized treatment plans to improve independence and function.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and caregivers to optimize outcomes.

• IL: State Licensure as an Occupational Therapist is required OR has been authorized to practice by the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation (IDFPR) and must obtain licensure within 6 months.
• WI: State Licensure as an Occupational Therapist is required OR has been issued a temporary licensure to practice and must obtain licensure within 6 months.
• Certified Basic Life Support (BLS) or completion in the first 90 days of employment is required.
