Job summary

Maria Parham Health in Henderson, NV is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join the outpatient team. You will evaluate patients’ daily living activities, plan individualized therapy, and guide adaptive equipment choices during a standard 8:00am–5:00pm, Monday–Friday schedule with weekend/holiday float rotation.

The OT works with geriatric, orthopedic, and neurological caseloads, collaborates with the rehab team on goals and discharge planning, and may supervise assistants in accordance with

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program.
• Inpatient Rehabilitation, Acute Care, And/or Outpatient Setting Experience Preferred.
• Current state Occupational Therapist (OT) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop individualized treatment plans to improve functional independence.
• Document progress and adjust plans of care per regulations and standards.

How you'll contribute

The Occupational Therapist evaluates patients' ability to safely and effectively perform daily activities and develops individualized treatment plans to improve functional independence. This role implements therapeutic interventions using appropriate modalities, educates patients and caregivers on deficits and adaptive techniques, and provides guidance on the selection and use of adaptive equipment to support recovery. The OT documents patient progress in accordance with regulatory and accreditation standards, monitors and adjusts plans of care as needed, and collaborates closely with the interdisciplinary rehab team on treatment goals and discharge planning. The therapist also supervises and delegates appropriate aspects of care to certified occupational therapy assistants and therapy technicians in accordance with state regulations and professional practice standards.
