Job summary

Maria Parham Health, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) to support our Lymphedema program in outpatient rehabilitation. The role requires evaluating patients, designing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to improve daily function.

Applicants must have a graduate degree in occupational therapy, a current OT license, and BLS/CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program.
• Inpatient Rehabilitation, Acute Care, and/or Outpatient setting experience preferred.
• Current state OT license.
• BLS/CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ ability to safely perform daily activities and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Implement therapeutic interventions and educate patients and caregivers on deficits and adaptive techniques.
• Document progress, monitor plans of care, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary rehab team.
• Supervise and delegate appropriate tasks to assistants in line with regulations.

Schedule: Outpatient, Days, 4 10's M-Th 7:30am - 5:30pm OR 4 9's M-Th and Friday 4 hour shift, Weekend/Holiday float rotation to Acute/Inpatient Rehab

Candidates must possess Lymphedema Specialist experience; Lymphedema certification is required within six (6) months of hire.

How you’ll contribute

The Occupational Therapist evaluates patients’ ability to safely and effectively perform daily activities and develops individualized treatment plans to improve functional independence. This role implements therapeutic interventions using appropriate modalities, educates patients and caregivers on deficits and adaptive techniques, and provides guidance on the selection and use of adaptive equipment to support recovery. The OT documents patient progress in accordance with regulatory and accreditation standards, monitors and adjusts plans of care as needed, and collaborates closely with the interdisciplinary rehab team on treatment goals and discharge planning. The therapist also supervises and delegates appropriate aspects of care to certified occupational therapy assistants and therapy technicians in accordance with state regulations and professional practice standards.

What we’re looking for
