Job summary

Five Star Nursing is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) for skilled nursing facilities in NYC and surrounding areas. The OT will perform evaluations, develop treatment plans, and educate patients and families to improve daily functioning and cognition.

The role offers both direct employment or independent contractor options, with pay at $46-$48 hourly (W-2) or $57-$60 hourly (1099). NY licensure and EMR proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Current NYS OT License and Registration required.
• Competence with EMR systems and documentation.
• Meets all State and Federal requirements for US employment in a Nursing Facility.
• Malpractice/Liability Insurance (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Provide OT services to residents, assess needs, and develop treatment plans.
• Conduct individual, supervised, and group therapies as outlined in plans.
• Monitor responses and consult with supervising OT for modifications.
• Adhere to resident schedules and treatment regimens.
• Maintain appropriate resident care standards as directed.

Now Staffing Occupational Therapists for Rehab Department in state-of-the-art Skilled Nursing Facilities throughout NYC and Surrounding Areas.

Occupational Therapist Job Duties:

• Provides Occupational Therapy services to residents by assisting in the assessment and treatment, development and implementation of programs, and related professional in-services.
• Conducts individual, supervised and group treatment as assigned by the Occupational Therapist and as outlined in the treatment plan.
• Monitors resident's response to intervention and consults with Occupational Therapist if modification is indicated.
• Adheres to department and resident schedule and modifies as appropriate for treatment regimen.
• Maintains acceptable resident care rations as determined by the Occupational Therapist.
