Job summary

Evolve Therapy Services is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our team at an in-house Skilled Nursing Facility in Scotland Neck, NC. The role requires planning, directing, and delivering OT services in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, and supervising COTA as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy required.
• Active Occupational Therapy license in practicing state(s).
• Ongoing continuing education to maintain licensure and certification.

Responsibilities

• Screen residents to determine interventions and treatment.
• Evaluate residents to develop treatment plans and goals.
• Communicate findings and plans to residents, families, and the team.
• Schedule therapy in coordination with team members and maintain documentation.
• Deliver therapy per plan and ensure billing and reimbursement compliance.
• Perform other duties to effectively treat patients.
• Supervise COTA as needed and ensure quality care and compliant documentation.

Job Position:

Occupational Therapist for an In-house Skilled Nursing Facility

Job Type:

Full Time, Part Time, or PRN positions available

Job Purpose:

To plan, organize, develop, and direct Occupational Therapy Services in facility in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be directed by Administrator, to ensure that highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

Job Functions:

• Conduct regular screening of residents to figure out the best intervention or treatment for each individual patient
• Evaluate residents to inform and develop treatment plans; establish short- and long-term goals and methods to achieve goals
• Interpret and communicate evaluation findings, treatment plans, and recommendations to residents, families/caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members
• Establish individual resident therapy schedules in cooperation with other team members
• Conduct therapy according to established treatment plan and ensure proper documentation and billing of occupational therapy services
• Perform all other duties as assigned and as required to effectively treat patients
• Oversee COTA as needed and ensure all documentation and treatments are carried out with clinical excellence and proper reimbursement practices are being followed

Education & Qualifications:

• Degree in Occupational Therapy
• MUST have an Active Occupational Therapy license in practicing state(s)
• Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain current licensure and certification
