Job summary

Tri-County Therapy in South Carolina is hiring a full-time Occupational Therapist to serve children across clinics, homes, preschools, and early intervention programs in Anderson and surrounding areas. You will evaluate, design plans of care, and implement therapeutic activities to strengthen motor, sensory, and daily living skills while collaborating with families and a multidisciplinary team.

Applicants must hold an OT degree and be licensed in South Carolina; pediatric experience is preferred

Qualifications

  • Active professional licensure in Occupational Therapy (SC).
  • Pediatric experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of developmental milestones from birth to 18 years.
  • Experience with sensory processing and feeding therapy preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Complete evaluations by reviewing findings and medical history.
  • Design plans of care addressing fine motor, sensory, visual-motor, feeding, and daily living skills.
  • Identify adaptive equipment needs and assist with obtaining resources.
  • Manage a diverse pediatric caseload with various needs.
  • Maintain timely clinical documentation including SOAP notes and reports.
  • Teach families practical techniques for home programs and carryover.
  • Create customized activities and home programs to improve outcomes.
  • Communicate progress and recommendations to parents and caregivers.

Our occupational, physical, and speech-language therapy professionals work together to provide coordinated care in a variety of settings, including clinics, family homes, schools, preschools, and community-based environments. We are currently hiring for:
  • Full-Time Mixed Community + Clinic based OT in Anderson, SC (office, homes, preschools, early intervention)
Occupational Therapist Job Responsibilities:
  • Complete evaluations by reviewing assessment findings, clinical observations, and relevant medical and developmental history.
  • Design individualized plans of care (POCs) addressing areas such as fine motor development, sensory processing and regulation, visual-motor and perceptual skills, feeding, activities of daily living, and other functional needs.
  • Recognize when adaptive or sensory-related equipment may improve a child’s independence and assist families with obtaining medically necessary resources.
  • Independently manage a diverse pediatric caseload that may include children with sensory-processing needs, sensory-based feeding challenges, executive-functioning difficulties, emotional-regulation needs, infant-development concerns, and other diagnoses.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including SOAP notes, evaluation reports, plans of care, progress updates, patient observations, and discharge summaries.
  • Teach children and caregivers practical techniques that promote consistent use of therapeutic strategies outside of treatment sessions.
  • Create customized therapeutic activities and home programs designed to strengthen skills and improve functional outcomes.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers, providing education and recommendations that support progress across everyday environments.
Occupational Therapist Job Requirements:
  • Active professional licensure through the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college or university.
  • Pediatric experience gained through previous employment or a clinical rotation preferred
  • Strong knowledge of developmental milestones from birth through age 18, including motor, cognitive, functional, and maturational development.
  • Experience with sensory processing and feeding therapy is preferred.
