Job summary

Tri-County Therapy in Anderson, SC is hiring a full-time Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat children across clinics, homes, preschools, and early intervention settings. You will design POCs addressing fine motor, sensory processing, feeding, daily living skills, and other functional needs, and collaborate with families to implement strategies at home and school.

A SC license is required, pediatric experience preferred, and you will document with SOAP notes and discharge summaries.

Qualifications

  • Active SC license (LLR) or eligible.
  • Bachelor’s or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Pedriatric experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of developmental milestones birth-18.
  • Experience with sensory processing and feeding therapy preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Complete evaluations by reviewing assessments, history and observations.
  • Design individualized plans of care addressing fine motor, sensory, feeding, ADLs.
  • Recommend adaptive equipment and assist families with resources.
  • Manage a diverse pediatric caseload across settings (clinic, home, school).
  • Maintain timely documentation: SOAP notes, reports, discharge summaries.
  • Teach techniques to caregivers for home use of strategies.
  • Create home programs to strengthen skills and outcomes.
  • Communicate regularly with parents/caregivers with progress updates.

We are currently hiring for:

  • Full-Time Mixed Community + Clinic based OT in Anderson, SC (office, homes, preschools, early intervention)
Occupational Therapist Job Responsibilities:
  • Complete evaluations by reviewing assessment findings, clinical observations, and relevant medical and developmental history.
  • Design individualized plans of care (POCs) addressing areas such as fine motor development, sensory processing and regulation, visual-motor and perceptual skills, feeding, activities of daily living, and other functional needs.
  • Recognize when adaptive or sensory-related equipment may improve a child’s independence and assist families with obtaining medically necessary resources.
  • Independently manage a diverse pediatric caseload that may include children with sensory-processing needs, sensory-based feeding challenges, executive-functioning difficulties, emotional-regulation needs, infant-development concerns, and other diagnoses.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including SOAP notes, evaluation reports, plans of care, progress updates, patient observations, and discharge summaries.
  • Teach children and caregivers practical techniques that promote consistent use of therapeutic strategies outside of treatment sessions.
  • Create customized therapeutic activities and home programs designed to strengthen skills and improve functional outcomes.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers, providing education and recommendations that support progress across everyday environments.
Occupational Therapist Job Requirements:
  • Active professional licensure through the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college or university.
  • Pediatric experience gained through previous employment or a clinical rotation preferred
  • Strong knowledge of developmental milestones from birth through age 18, including motor, cognitive, functional, and maturational development.
  • Experience with sensory processing and feeding therapy is preferred.
