Pediatric Therapy Associates is actively hiring a Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our growing multidisciplinary team in Lexington, South Carolina. We are looking for a compassionate, energetic therapist who wants to help children develop the skills they need to become more independent and successful at home, school, and in their community. Experienced pediatric OTs and new graduates are encouraged to apply. Qualifications Required
  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
  • Current Occupational Therapist license in South Carolina or eligibility to obtain South Carolina licensure

Previous pediatric occupational therapy experience

Experience
  • Experience in an outpatient pediatric therapy setting
  • Experience with sensory integration, developmental disabilities, fine motor development, or ADL training

About the Position

As a Pediatric Occupational Therapist, you will evaluate and treat children with a variety of developmental and functional needs. Our therapists work closely with children, parents, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans designed to improve independence and participation in everyday activities. Our pediatric population includes children and young adults from birth through age 21.

Treatment may address:

  • Fine motor development
  • Gross and sensory-motor integration
  • Sensory processing and regulation
  • Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
  • Self-care skills
  • Visual-motor and visual-perceptual skills
  • Coordination
  • Motor planning
  • Social participation
  • Developmental milestones
  • Functional independence at home, school, and in the community
Pediatric Occupational Therapist Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive pediatric occupational therapy evaluations and assessments
  • Develop individualized plans of care based on each child’s needs and goals
  • Provide evidence-based pediatric OT interventions
  • Create engaging and developmentally appropriate therapeutic activities
  • Help children improve functional independence, fine motor skills, sensory processing, ADLs, and participation
  • Educate parents and caregivers regarding therapy goals and strategies for carryover at home
  • Collaborate with Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Speech‑Language Pathologists, Early Intervention professionals, physicians, caregivers, and other members of the child’s care team
  • Accurately document evaluations, treatment sessions, progress, and outcomes
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, professional standards, and clinic policies
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development
  • Help maintain a positive, safe, organized, and child‑friendly therapy environment.
