Job summary

Eyas Landing - Avondale is seeking an Occupational Therapist to deliver pediatric OT for children ages 6-14 in a Merlin Day Academy setting. The role focuses on sensory processing, motor coordination, and independence, in a collaborative clinic environment.

The position offers a Monday–Friday daytime schedule with no evenings or weekends, a strong benefits package, and opportunities for leadership roles within the department as you gain experience.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy.
• Licensed OT in Illinois (IDFPR).
• Experience with autism and neurodevelopmental differences.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized OT services to children in a therapeutic setting.
• Implement client-centered approaches (e.g., DIR/Floortime, IRM, reflex integration).
• Collaborate daily with PTs, SLPs, and social workers.
• Document progress and communicate with families to support continuity of care.

Description

Occupational Therapist (PT) - Therapeutic Day Program

Chicago, IL | Predictable Monday-Friday, 8am-4:00 PM schedule - no evenings or weekends.

• Total Compensation Package: Valued between $88,000-$105,000.
• Annual Salary: $72,000-$85,000, based on experience and qualifications.
• Annual Increases: Annual merit-based increases.

Eyas Landing - Avondale offers a unique opportunity to provide occupational therapy through our Merlin Day Academy, a fully integrated educational and therapeutic environment for children ages 6-14 years old with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, sensory processing disorder, and other neurodiverse needs. This is an opportunity to provide evidence-based, play-focused pediatric therapy in a collaborative, innovative environment designed to foster each child's sensory processing and integration, motor coordination, fine motor development, and independence.

Responsibilities:

• Providing individualized and rotation therapy
• Implementing client-centered therapeutic approaches such as DIR/Floortime, Intentional Relationship Model (IRM), and reflex integration
• Collaborating daily with physical and speech therapists, and social workers
• Documenting progress and communicating with families to support continuity of care

Knowledge and Skills Required:

• Master's or Doctorate Degree of Occupational Therapy
• Active Illinois Licensed Occupational Therapist license through IDFPR
• Experience providing OT services to children with autism and/or other neurodevelopmental differences
