Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation – Onion Creek, TX is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) to treat conservative and post-operative hand conditions in an outpatient clinic. An OT license and CHT are required; 1-2 years hand/splinting experience if not a CHT.

Provides education and develops therapy plans aligned with physician directions. Hours vary Mon-Fri 7a-7p; full time with competitive compensation based on experience.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist is required.
• Certified Hand Therapist certification is required.
• BLS certification or completion within 90 days of employment is required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate assigned patients and develop, implement and modify treatment plans.
• Supervise and direct therapy services for assigned patients.
• Educate patients, families, students and staff about therapy programs and goals.

Seeking a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT), to treat conservative and post-operative conditions in a dynamic clinic setting. Experience in hand/splinting for 1-2 years required if not a CHT. Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements and modifies treatment plan in accordance with the patient’s need and physician direction. Responsible for delegation and direction of all discipline specific therapy services for those assigned patients. Ensures design of functional treatment programs allowing for effective return to community activities. Serves as an educator of patients, families, students, coworkers and self. Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient, development of discipline specific therapy services and design of program delivery

Minimum Qualifications

• Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as an Occupational Therapist required
• Certified Hand Therapist certification required
• Certified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment required
