Job summary

Nealy Pierce is seeking an occupational therapist to join a large hospital system in Richmond, VA. You will evaluate and treat patients with stroke, brain injury, and orthopedic conditions, delivering care amidst a sizable team of OTs, COTAs, PTs, and PTAs.

We offer a $3,000 relocation bonus, tuition reimbursement up to $500 per month, and comprehensive medical/dental/life insurance. Expect 4 weeks PTO and mentorship within a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• OT degree from an accredited program (Bachelor, Master, or Doctorate).
• Open to new grads and experienced therapists.
• Must be detail oriented and able to see the big picture.
• Excellent communication across all levels; liaison with internal and external customers.
• Collaborative, team-building mindset; servant leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy to patients with stroke, trauma, or orthopedic conditions; approx. 8–15 patients per day.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team across sub-acute, skilled facilities, and outpatient clinics as census allows.

About the Hospital

• Hospital: Non-Profit 700+ Bed Hospital
• Certified Stroke and Heart Hospital
• Part of one of the largest Non-Profit Health Systems in the Country

About the Position:

On average, you can expect to see between 8 and 15 patients a day depending on census. There are a variety of different patient diagnoses including but not limited to: stroke, traumatic brain injury, total knees, total hips, etc. On days when the census is low, it is not uncommon to get a change of pace and be asked to help out in the SubAcute, Skilled Facility, or Outpatient clinic. The team consists of 5 other OTs, 4 COTAs, 5 PTs and 4 PTAs.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor's, Masters or Doctorate of Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Open to New Grads and Experienced Therapists
• Must be detail oriented but also able to see the big picture
• Excellent communication skills across all levels
• Serve as a liaison with internal and external customers
