Job summary

Solaris HealthCare Waterman in Tavares, FL, is hiring a full‑time Occupational Therapist (OT) to deliver patient-centered rehabilitation. You will assess residents, develop individualized treatment plans, and coordinate care with physicians and staff to support recovery and independence.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed to practice as an occupational therapist in Florida (or eligible)
• Professional affiliations with state/national OT associations preferred
• Thorough knowledge of OT principles, methods, materials, and equipment
• Knowledge of Medicare and third-party reimbursement preferred

Occupational Therapist (OT) Qualifications:

• Successful completion of the academic requirements of an educational program in occupational therapy recognized by the Board of Occupational Therapy Practice. Such program shall be accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association's Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education, or its successor
• Must be licensed (or eligible for licensure) to practice as an occupational therapist in the state of Florida
• Prior experience in Occupational Therapy
• Member of state and national American Occupational Therapy Association
• Professional attitude and appearance
• Proficient administrative and public relations skills
• Thorough knowledge of the principles, methods, materials and equipment used in occupational therapy
• Thorough knowledge of the possible hazards to patients during treatment and necessary precautionary and remedial measures
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and to obtain their cooperation in the treatment prescribed
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with the medical staff and other personnel
• Ability to understand, interpret, and adopt a physician's written or oral directions and to recommend treatment programs and outline expected benefits regarding occupational therapy
• Demonstrate emotional stability in order to cope with the demands of both patients and employees
• Must maintain patient and employee confidentiality
• Knowledge of Medicare and third party reimbursement, preferred
• This role requires Florida AHCA Clearinghouse background screening.
