Solaris HealthCare Forest Lake, Apopka, FL, is hiring an Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide resident-focused therapy and improve life quality. You will work with a dedicated team to deliver compassionate care and rehabilitation services within a supportive setting.

Required: Florida OT licensure or eligibility, prior OT experience, professional conduct, and knowledge of Medicare reimbursement. Benefits include health coverage, retirement plans, and tuition assistance.

Competenze

• Accredited OT education program recognized by the appropriate board.
• Licensed (or eligible) to practice as an OT in Florida.
• Prior experience in occupational therapy.
• Member of state and national American Occupational Therapy Association.
• Professional attitude and appearance.
• Proficient administrative and public relations skills.
• Thorough knowledge of OT principles, methods, materials and equipment.
• Knowledge of patient safety hazards and precautionary measures.
• Ability to work well with patients and gain cooperation.
• Ability to collaborate with medical staff and other personnel.
• Interpret physician directions and recommend treatment plans.
• Emotional stability to cope with patients and staff.
• Maintain patient and employee confidentiality.
• Knowledge of Medicare and third-party reimbursement (preferred).

Occupational Therapist (OT) Qualifications:

• Successful completion of the academic requirements of an educational program in occupational therapy recognized by the Board of Occupational Therapy Practice. Such program shall be accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association’s Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education, or its successor
• Must be licensed (or eligible for licensure) to practice as an occupational therapist in the state of Florida
• Prior experience in Occupational Therapy
• Member of state and national American Occupational Therapy Association
• Professional attitude and appearance
• Proficient administrative and public relations skills
• Thorough knowledge of the principles, methods, materials and equipment used in occupational therapy
• Thorough knowledge of the possible hazards to patients during treatment and necessary precautionary and remedial measures
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and to obtain their cooperation in the treatment prescribed
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with the medical staff and other personnel
• Ability to understand, interpret, and adopt a physician’s written or oral directions and to recommend treatment programs and outline expected benefits regarding occupational therapy
• Demonstrate emotional stability in order to cope with the demands of both patients and employees
• Must maintain patient and employee confidentiality
• Knowledge of Medicare and third party reimbursement, preferred
