Job summary

Solaris HealthCare College Park in Orlando, FL is hiring a Full-Time Occupational Therapist (OT) to support residents in achieving their best quality of life. The OT will collaborate with the care team, apply clinical knowledge, and ensure compassionate, patient-centered therapy.

Candidates must be licensed or eligible for licensure in Florida, possess strong interpersonal skills, and stay compliant with regulatory and reimbursement guidelines while delivering high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed (or eligible for licensure) to practice OT in Florida
• Active membership in state and national American Occupational Therapy Association preferred
• Professional attitude and appearance expected
• Proficient administrative and public relations skills
• Thorough knowledge of OT principles, methods, and equipment
• Understanding Medicare/third-party reimbursement is a plus

Occupational Therapist (OT) Qualifications:

• Successful completion of the academic requirements of an educational program in occupational therapy recognized by the Board of Occupational Therapy Practice. Such program shall be accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association’s Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education, or its successor
• Must be licensed (or eligible for licensure) to practice as an occupational therapist in the state of Florida
• Prior experience in Occupational Therapy
• Member of state and national American Occupational Therapy Association
• Professional attitude and appearance
• Proficient administrative and public relations skills
• Thorough knowledge of the principles, methods, materials and equipment used in occupational therapy
• Thorough knowledge of the possible hazards to patients during treatment and necessary precautionary and remedial measures
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and to obtain their cooperation in the treatment prescribed
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with the medical staff and other personnel
• Ability to understand, interpret, and adopt a physician’s written or oral directions and to recommend treatment programs and outline expected benefits regarding occupational therapy
• Demonstrate emotional stability in order to cope with the demands of both patients and employees
• Must maintain patient and employee confidentiality
• Knowledge of Medicare and third party reimbursement, preferred
