Solaris HealthCare Lake Zephyr in Zephyrhills, FL seeks an Occupational Therapist (OT) to assess residents, develop treatment plans, and support daily living activities. You will collaborate with nursing and medical staff to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a busy skilled nursing setting.

This is a full-time, hourly position with shift options and benefits. Join our team focused on quality of life, caregiver support, and community partnerships.

Competenze

• Completion of an OT education program accredited by AOTA.
• Must be licensed or eligible for Florida OT licensure.
• Experience in occupational therapy practice.
• Active membership in state and national OT associations.
• Strong professional appearance and attitude.
• Excellent administrative and public relations skills.
• Thorough knowledge of OT principles, equipment, and safety.
• Ability to interpret physician directions and plan treatment.

Occupational Therapist (OT) Qualifications:

• Successful completion of the academic requirements of an educational program in occupational therapy recognized by the Board of Occupational Therapy Practice. Such program shall be accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association’s Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education, or its successor
• Must be licensed (or eligible for licensure) to practice as an occupational therapist in the state of Florida
• Prior experience in Occupational Therapy
• Member of state and national American Occupational Therapy Association
• Professional attitude and appearance
• Proficient administrative and public relations skills
• Thorough knowledge of the principles, methods, materials and equipment used in occupational therapy
• Thorough knowledge of the possible hazards to patients during treatment and necessary precautionary and remedial measures
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and to obtain their cooperation in the treatment prescribed
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with the medical staff and other personnel
• Ability to understand, interpret, and adopt a physician’s written or oral directions and to recommend treatment programs and outline expected benefits regarding occupational therapy
• Demonstrate emotional stability in order to cope with the demands of both patients and employees
• Must maintain patient and employee confidentiality
• Knowledge of Medicare and third party reimbursement, preferred
