Job summary

Sigma Health Rehab is seeking a per diem Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our skilled nursing facility team in Cooperstown, New York.

You will evaluate residents, develop rehab plans, relieve pain through exercises and hands-on therapy, and supervise therapy assistants while maintaining confidentiality and complying with all regulations. Mentorship and career growth opportunities are available, with flexible hours and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program.
• Current New York State OT License.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents’ conditions & develop appropriate physical rehabilitation plans.
• Relieve resident’s pain using exercises, hands-on therapy & stretching.
• Help residents through their tasks and monitor their performance.
• Supervise the activities of physical therapy assistants.
• Maintain resident confidence & protects facility by keeping information confidential.
• Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
• Maintains a cooperative relationship among healthcare team members & contributes to team effort.

Education

Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program

Current New York State OT License
