Job summary

Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital Springfield, operated by Lifepoint Health, seeks an Occupational Therapist (OT) for a full-time days shift. Schedule is Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm with a $10,000 signing bonus.

The role focuses on developing individualized treatment plans and contributing to high-quality patient care in a 60-bed rehabilitation setting. The candidate should hold an OT degree, be licensed in the state, and possess CPR certification, strong organizational and communication skills, and

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current and unrestricted OT license in the state where services are rendered.
• Current CPR certification.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced rehabilitation environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop a specialized treatment plan to help regain function through exercise and use of prosthetic/orthotic devices.
• Communicate patient progress to supervisor and team; instruct family/nursing staff on follow-through programs.
• Document patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer and accrediting requirements.
• Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition.
• Adhere to the Company Code of Conduct and applicable laws; perform other duties as assigned.

Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital Springfield is60-bed Rehabilitation Hospital. Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital provides inpatient rehabilitation services for patients recovering from strokes, brain or spinal cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic injuries and other conditions. Our Unit is a very fast-paced yet fun environment with endless opportunities to learn and grow!

How You'll Contribute:

• Develop a specialized treatment plan to help him/her achieve as much as possible in regaining his/her well-being through exercise and/or use of prosthetic and orthotic devices. You and your staff will play an important role in his/her recovery
• Communicate patient progress or problems to supervisor and other team members; instruct patient's family or nursing staff in follow-through programs
• Document patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer and accrediting requirements
• Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition
• Handle job responsibilities in accordance with the standards of the Company's Code of Business Conduct, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, appropriate professional standards and applicable state/federal laws
• Other duties as assigned

What we're looking for:
