Job summary

Lifepoint Health seeks a dynamic Occupational Therapist (PRN) for Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital St. Louis. The role focuses on patient-centered PT care, developing treatment plans and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced rehab setting.

Responsibilities include progress documentation, family education, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards while supporting the hospital’s mission to provide exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

• Requires degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current and unrestricted OT license in the state of service.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Accepting new grads.

Responsibilities

• Develop a specialized treatment plan to help regain well‑being through exercise and/or use of prosthetic/orthotic devices.
• Communicate patient progress or problems to supervisor and team members; instruct family/nursing staff in follow‑through programs.
• Document patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer and accrediting requirements.
• Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition.
• Adhere to Company Code of Business Conduct, Compliance Agreement and applicable laws.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital St. Louis is 90-bed Rehabilitation Hospital. Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital provides inpatient rehabilitation services for patients recovering from strokes, brain or spinal cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic injuries and other conditions. Our Unit is a very fast-paced yet fun environment with endless opportunities to learn and grow!

How You'll Contribute

• Develop a specialized treatment plan to help him/her achieve as much as possible in regaining his/her well-being through exercise and/or use of prosthetic and orthotic devices. You and your staff will play an important role in his/her recovery.
• Communicate patient progress or problems to supervisor and other team members; instruct patient's family or nursing staff in follow-through programs.
• Document patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer and accrediting requirements.
• Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition.
• Handle job responsibilities in accordance with the standards of the Company's Code of Business Conduct, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, appropriate professional standards and applicable state/federal laws.
• Other duties as assigned.
